Having woefully failed to stop the electorate of Kebbi South from recalling him from the Senate, Senator Bala Ibn Na'Allah, the Senate Deputy Majority Leader, in connivance with Senator Adamu Aleiro, have now initiated a grandeur plot to unseat the current governor of Kebbi state, Abubakar Atiku Bagudu.
The governor is accused of refusing to protect Senator Bala Ibn Na'Allah from public ridicule and also stop the ongoing recall process of the Senator. There is actually more to this story than what meets the eyes.

It can be recalled that Senator Bala went on rampage last month using police officers to unlawfully arrest the human rights activists championing for his recall from the Senate. This dastard act of criminality obviously backfired. The Kebbi activists refused to be intimidated and continued collecting more petition signatures. Meanwhile the activists also became more popular due to the coverage given to their story by the national media and international media outlets like the BBC World Service and the Voice of America Hausa Service.
CUPS is reliably informed by a high profile insider that a series of meetings were held over this past weekend to discuss the strategy of undermining and toppling over the Kebbi state governor. The treacherous project is to be headed by one Alhaji Bala Giredi. Other key players include one Alhaji Kana, Halliru Aliyu Wasagu, and Senator Bala's junior brother. Fifty motor cycles and substantial amount of money have already been dispatched for the project, which is being bankrolled by Senator Bala and his Godfather Senator Adamu Aleiro.
While this treacherous plan is locally brewed in Wasagu, Kebbi South, it actually has a national dimension. We are reliably informed that it is part of the grandeur plan being hatched by Senator Bukola Saraki to decamp with at least 50 Senators back to the PDP, just prior to the 2019 general elections. The climax of the plan is to make Saraki the PDP presidential candidate for 2019 and for many of the 50 corrupt Senators who decamped back to PDP to contest as state governors.
This grandeur politics of treachery is not unconnected with Bukola Saraki and his cabal's determination to continue with their insatiable appetite of ruling and plundering Nigeria, while at the same time protecting themselves from prosecution for the crimes they committed against the Nigerian state. It can be recalled that Saraki is facing charges of grandeur theft and money laundering running into billions, while Adamau Aleiro is accused of carting billions of Naira belonging to the people of Kebbi state. CUPS is reliably informed that the three commercial jets managed by Senator Bala Ibn Na'Allah actually belong to Senator Adamu Aleiro!
In view of the desperate need of Bukola Saraki to protect himself and his cabal from prosecution for their crimes, and perpetuate themselves in power, the appointment of his closest aids to key Senate committees last Wednesday 4/11/2015 says it all. Bala Ibn Na'Allah has been assigned as the Vice Chairman of the powerful Senate Committee on Ethics and Privileges. He is also the Vice Chairman of Committee on Aviation. Not surprising, Adamu Aleiro is the Chairman of Committee on Customs, Excise and Tariff, while Senator David Umaru is the Chairman of Committee on Judiciary, Human Rights and Legal Matters, with Godswill Akpabio as his vice.
With three commercial jets belonging to Adamu Aleiro and managed by Bala Ibn Na'Allah, we can see why Bala was appointed the Vice-Charirman of Committee on Aviation as well as Committee on Ethics and Privileges. Adamu Aleiro is the man who stole billions both as customs officer and as former governor of Kebbi state. He is also the man who is spearheading the Senate's attempt to stop the lifting on the ban on importation of rice through our land boarders. He is now the Chairman of Committee on Customs, Excise and Tariff. David Umaru is the Barrister who siphoned off billions of Naira under the most dubious of circumstances during the era of late Sani Abatcha. It is no surprising that he is now the Chairman of Committee on Judiciary, Human Rights and Legal Matters. Godswill Akpabio is the man who siphoned off billions of Naira from Akwa Ibom state, and is now conniving with the EFCC Chairman and the IG of Police to persecute the whistle-blower, Barrister Leo Ekpenyong who exposed him.
Fellow Nigerians, the fight to save Nigeria from corruption and tyranny has just begun. Those who brought us misery, poverty, death and destruction are actively mobilising themselves and strategising on how to perpetuate themselves in power by whatever means necessary. The obligation is on everyone of us to actively participate in mass mobilisation, enlightenment and empowerment, so that we can collectively reclaim our country back and save her from peril. Remember, it is not over until it is over!
